A mother-of-three who passed away last Friday night while out on a stroll near her house is receiving tributes, reports Breaking News.
At 6:30pm, Marian Morgan, who was in her early seventies, was hit by a vehicle.
Emergency personnel hurried to the area along the N80 at junction 5 and Tinryland Football pitch, including gardaí and ambulances from Carlow town. The car’s driver was unharmed, reports Breaking News.
To give forensic crash investigators time to inspect the incident site, the Gardaí roped off the area overnight. There were road traffic detours into Carlow town via Kellistown and Bennekerry.
Ms. Morgan was referred to as “an absolute lady” by an acquaintance who worked with her at the Carlow County Council, reports Breaking News.
Her husband Jim, daughters Jennifer and Kate, son Peter, and siblings Pat, Bernie, Morgan, Kevin, Laz, Paddy, Breda, Noleen, Gerry, Pauline, Angela, Damien, Tom, and Nick survive Mrs. Morgan of Tinryland and Rathcrogue, Carlow.
On Wednesday, after the Requiem Mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Tinryland at 11 a.m., she will be buried.
A sympathiser on rip.ie said: “I can say from my heart that it was a true pleasure and privilege having known and worked with Marian. She was like a mother and friend. I will miss her terribly. My deepest and utmost sympathies to the family. May she rest in eternal peace and smile upon us all from up high,” reports Breaking News.
