According to widespread rumors circulating around social media, Twitter may be about to announce a job cull among its 4,100 employees worldwide.
If the rumours prove to be true, an as of yet undetermined number of staff may be facing the axe.
Twitter’s last quarter financial results were rather disappointing for the company. Other apps like Snapchat and WhatsApp are said to be slowly encroaching into Twitter’s former domain, forcing a “rethink” of Twitter’s strategy going forward.
Twitter’s shares have tumbled from a high of $69 back in January 2014 to between $25 and $30 so far this year.
