Two homeless men were reportedly found dead in the Cork city center area earlier this week.
Drug overdose was the suspected cause of death in both cases.
One of the men collapsed in a shop and later died in hospital last Tuesday. The second man was found in the toilets of a fast food outlet last Saturday night.
These deaths come to light in the wake of Jonathan Corrie’s passing near the Dáil earlier in the week, a tragic event that has highlighted the massive homelessness crisis currently affecting the country.
