Winter 2014 is about to strike with a vengeance.
Tomorrow, Sunday, will be bitterly cold, according to Met Eireann. There will be wintry showers throughout the day, with snow on western and northern hills and possibly some sleet on lower ground levels.
There is also a possibility of snow flurries on higher ground in the east of the country, and temperatures will hover between 3 and 6C.
It’ll be slightly milder on Monday, but overnight frost will make morning driving conditions hazardous.
