Gardaí in Dublin have arrested two men after a taxi man was robbed after picking up a fare on Thursday night.
It is understood the taxi man aged in his 70s was robbed after he picked up the two men on O’Connell Street on Thursday evening.
It is believed the two men asked the driver to drop them off at Woodlawn Estate.
However before they fled the scene they proceeded to assault and rob the taxi man before taking a number of items including his car keys, phone and a sum of money.
Gardaí say the two men aged 18 and 21 were arrested a short time later and have since been taken to Ballymun Garda Station where they have been charged.
