Two more debilitating and possibly long term adverse reactions confirmed for Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine

The latest Irish Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) vaccine report has confirmed two more debilitating side effects for the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine.

The HPRA report dated 12th August states;

“Product information for COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen® will be updated to include dizziness and tinnitus (ringing or other noises in one or both ears) as potential side effects. Dizziness and tinnitus are two of the more regularly reported suspected side effects…Up to 03 August, the HPRA received 49 reports of dizziness and nine reports of tinnitus following administration of COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen®”.

Whist the HPRA report lists a small number of reported dizziness and tinnitus adverse reactions, we must remember that there are people suffering behind these statistics.
Maybe they are unable to work or suffer mental health problems worrying if the symptoms will ever go away so they can resume their normal lives again.

The HPRA do not say if the symptoms of Dizziness and Tinnitus are resolved over time or of the symptoms are long lasting.

According to the Mayo Clinic, “Tinnitus affects people differently. For some people, tinnitus can significantly affect quality of life”.

“Dizziness can increase your risk of falling and injuring yourself. Experiencing dizziness while driving a car or operating heavy machinery can increase the likelihood of an accident”.

Dizziness can be triggered by the use of mobile phone or computer screens. Symptoms of dizziness include;

• A false sense of motion or spinning (vertigo)
• Lightheadedness or feeling faint
• Unsteadiness or a loss of balance
• A feeling of floating, wooziness or heavy-headedness

Please seek medical advice if you have been experiencing tinnitus or dizziness after receiving covid-19 vaccines and report your side effects here.
