According to a brief report by RTE, two unidentified women have appeared in court and charged with human trafficking, organised prostitution and money laundering.
One woman is aged 31 and the other aged 45. They both appeared before the Dublin District Court on Saturday.
The two women cannot be named for legal reasons.
According to the Sun a garda spokesman said: “The two women arrested on Monday, 28th June, 2021, as part of the ongoing investigation into human trafficking, organised prostitution and money laundering carried out by Gardaí attached to the Human Trafficking Investigation and Coordination Unit (HTICU) at the Garda National Protective Services Bureau (GNPSB), have both been charged.
Both women were remanded in custody to appear before the court again on Friday, July 9th.
