As we reported earlier, an overnight car crash in Co Louth claimed the life of a man in his 20s.
The passenger in the car was rushed to Our Lady Of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda and was said to be in a critical condition.
Unfortunately, he too lost his life at approx 8am this morning.
The accident occurred at 1:30am at Hunterstown between Ardee and Collon.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them in Ardee garda station or the confidential line on 1800-666-111.
