The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar has said that the Government will consider the possibility of reopening gyms and leisure centres at next week’s Cabinet meeting.
Speaking on Instagram, the Tanaiste who was responding to a question from a follower said that there’s no one who misses the gym more than he does and he is going to make a case for their reopening as soon as possible.
Varadkar told his followers that he himself is bored of running around the park and that he would live to be back in the gym.
However he did warn that a decision had to be made on all business reopening and any decision will be made carefully.
He added that the Government will look to discuss the reopening of a number of sectors and the plans made next week will not cover just the month of May but June and July as well.
