There has been a very mixed reaction to the first transgender person taking part in the Olympics with many saying that the trans woman, born as a man, is not fair on women who were actually born women competing in the events.
The first trans-woman to represent the United States at the Olympics has vowed to burn the U.S flag on the award podium should they win a medal.
Chelsea Wolfe, a 28-year-old Florida native, announced in a photo shared with her 7,700 Instagram followers on June 12th that they would be an alternate on America’s BMX team for the freestyle event in at the Tokyo games this Summer.
However, the biological male stated in a since-deleted Facebook post last year ,about why she wanted to qualify, Fox News reported Monday.
“My goal is to win the Olympics so I can burn a US flag on the podium,” Wolfe reportedly wrote on March 25, 2020 alongside an online article about how trans girls should be treated as biological males in school sports. “This is what they focus on during a pandemic. Hurting trans children.”
