Despite all the noise by employers saying they can’t get employees on PUP back to work, Dept. Of Social Protection confirms they have received just 87 complaints about PUP claimants refusing to return to work




In recent weeks, some employers have said that they are struggling to get their employees to return to work and we have been told the Gardai will be employed to check fraudulent PUP claimants.

However, according to the Mirror, the Department of Social Protection has confirmed that they’ve received just 87 complaints about employees refusing to go back to work as the economy reopens.

This week, the Department of Social Protection issued payments valued at €78.9 million to 267,371 people in receipt of the Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP).
