This week has seen a major social media backlash to Russell Brand over his hypocrisy at “being one of the people”. Channel 4’s Irish reporter, Paraic O’Brien, challenged Russell Brand are a ‘New Era’ campaign rally earlier this week. The movie star lives in a £5 million mansion, but was campaigning for cheaper rent for low income people. Brand is demanding that landlords lower their rent regardless of inflation or market value or prices.
