Whatsapp make drastic changes to its newest update in relation to sending images

WhatsApp offers new update designed to stop users sending pics and video to wrong recipients

It’s a moment of panic we have all had. We send a message to the wrong person only to realise a moment after it’s too late and the proverbial damage is done. Now however, WhatsApp is taking measures to prevent users sending images to the wrong person.

The encrypted messenger app is now offering a safety net for Android phone users which will allow the messenger to utilize a double check of the name of the recipient before it sends any image, video or Gif.

The update version of the app which is currently running for the WhatsApp Android Beta version and will show the media recipients’ name below the caption in the screen.

This will hopefully prevent that moment of horror so many have experienced after sending the wrong video, gif of picture to an unintended recipient or group.

The new update also allows users of WhatsApp to continue to watch videos with the app while users to switch chats and use other apps.

Recently WhatsApp has also said that it will take legal action against those who use the app for sending automated spam messages and has limited the number of recipient’s messages can be forwarded to, to five to stop the spread of ‘fake news’.
