Gardai have launched an investigation following the death of a woman in Co. Offaly.
The incident happened at a private residence near Tullamore this afternoon. It’s understood that she was attacked and sustained vicious injuries.
A 16-yr-old boy has been arrested in connection with this incident. It’s understood that attack was recorded and posted to social media.
Gardai have asked people not to share the incident if they receive it on social media.
The boy can be questioned for up to 24 hours. Gardaí are not looking for anyone else at present.
