A leading lawyer in Brazil has said it could be end up being up to 6 months before Pat Hickey appears in court on charges connected to the Olympic tickets fiasco.
Mr Hickey who has temporarily stood down as president of the Olympic Council of Ireland is said to be treated just like any other prisoner, having had his head shaved and kept in a general population of the jail.
Two Olympic Council of Ireland officials are due to provide statements to police this afternoon.
Kevin Kilty and Stephen Martin have had their passports confiscated ahead of a meeting later today at Rio police headquarters.
FAI chief John Delaney has also had his passport taken in the investigation.
It must be clear though – everyone must be treated innocent until proven guilty, democracy must remain prevalent.
