Beware: TV licence inspectors said to be doing an additional 8,000 house checks a week

No one likes them, arguably even their own mothers have a difficult time welcoming them over for Christmas dinner, but nevertheless, TV licence inspectors are on the prowl at the moment.

They’ve allegedly acquired a database of people they believe don’t have a licence for the TV and thus have increased their checks by some 20% to an additional 8,000 per week.

The figures have been released from a new ad airing on RTE at the moment where they say they’re going to go after private residential and business properties. It’s understood that most calls will be made in the evening time.

Better off just not asking the door, but you didn’t hear me saying that 😉
