Update: Police have confirmed at least one person has died as a result of the crash.
A car has plouged into at least 10 people in down town central Melbourne.
The car hit a shopping centre at the Bourke St shopping centre on the corner of Bourke and Elizabeth St. It’s believed that at least 10 people were hit by the car as it rammed into the entrance of the shopping centre.
Emergency services are on the scene with police, numerous fire brigades and ambulances attending to the injured.
Police have stated that they cannot confirm what the cause of the incident is of yet. They have not ruled out a possible terrorism threat, and they refused to rule out to local media that it may have been just a freak accident.
