According to reports in the UK this evening at least five people have been seriously injured after a car drove through a crowd of pedestrians in Manchester.
It is understood that five people were taken to hospital in critical condition after the vehicle ploughed through the crowd at Europa Way, in the Trafford Park area of the city, shortly before 10pm this evening.
Although police say there is no indication that the incident was terrorist related, they have said the injured parties are being treated as ‘major trauma’ patients.
Speaking about the incident, a police spokesperson said at this point they do not suspect terrorism but have ruled nothing out.
