A major search and rescue operation is currently underway in Northern Ireland since 2:20pm.
As many as 70 people are said to be in “extreme difficulty” on the Mourne Mountains area of Northern Ireland. Emergency services, including ambulances, police and rescue helicopters are rushing to the scene.
It’s understood that 17 people are suffering from hypothermia after they group were caught out in bad weather.
