One person was shot dead during a protest in Charlotte, N.C. following the fatal shooting of a black man by a police officer earlier this week.
The protest quickly turned into a riot when the crowd rushed the police who started to hit back with tear gas.
People are rioting over an African American man being shot dead by an African American policeman. They claim the man who was shot was not carrying a weapon, whereas the cops said he had a gun pulled from a holster strapped to his ankle. It’s yet another race riot in the past number of months in the States.
The riot is ongoing and up to 500 people were seen fighting police with rubber bullets and tear gas being used against the rioters and looters.
