Breakthrough: New study claims that taking an aspirin a day can keep cancer away

A study performed last year for a whole range of adults in different age categories has revealed that taking a low dosage of aspirin on a daily basis seems to prevent some types of cancer.

The study conducted by the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), a science based panel that reviews the evidence of various treatments, recommended that a regular low dosage of aspirin use for people between the ages of 50 and 69 as a way to prevent heart attacks, strokes and some types of cancer.

However, excessive use or a very high dose of aspirin can run its own risk of stomach bleeding (although this is said to be very common and extremely harmless).

Also in 2016, a study carried out at Harvard found that aspirin use reduced the risk of cancers, especially colon cancer. They found taking 0.5 to 1.5 of aspirin tablets per week for at least six years lowered the risk of colon cancer by 19%.

It must be stated that you should contact your doctor before taking any form of medication.
