The President of the European Council Donald Tusk has stated that the proposed plan by UK Prime Minister Theresa May for an economic partnership with the EU post-Brexit “will not work”, RT reports.
Tusk warned that the proposal for an economic partnership between the UK and EU after the country leaves the bloc in March 2019 could undermine the EU’s single market.
Meanwhile, some have suggested a second referendum to be held in the UK concerning a possible Brexit deal but due to this latest set back such a referendum is an impossibility as it would take at least six months to lay the groundwork for such a vote, the Guardian reported.
