British Home Office grants more funding to police in the search for Madeleine McCann

Investigating officers working on the search for Madeleine McCann have been granted more funding it has been revealed.

In an announcement on Monday the British Home Office confirmed that they will provide further funding to lead invesgators who are searching for the girl who went missing in Praia da Luz Portugal, in 2007.

Madeleine who was aged 3 when she went missing has been the subject of investigations both in the UK and Portugal over the past 11 years.

To date the British Home Office revealed that they have spent a total of £11m funding the search for Madeleine who went missing her parents rented holiday accommodation.

In a brief statement released to the press on Monday, the Home Office said they were committed to the search for Madeleine and they have agreed to provide the Metropolitan Police with the adequate amount of funding.
