CervicalCheck support group left angered after Minister for Health cancels meeting at the last minute

Members of the 221+ group have been left disappointed and angry after the Minister for Health Simon Harris seemingly cancelled a meeting on Tuesday.

According to The Irish Sun newspaper, the group which represents the victims and families of the recent CervicalCheck scandal, were left outraged after Mr Harris rescheduled the meeting.

It was expected that Mr Harris would meet representatives of the group after he announced an implementation plan which was recommended in the results of the Scally report.

According to The Irish Sun, Mr Harris rescheduled the meeting due to other commitments which are connected to securing the passage of legislation in regards to the Termination of Pregnancy through the Seanad.

Mr Harris reportedly issued an apology to the group and confirmed that the meeting would take place on January 21st.
