A homeless woman was left deeply upset and distraught after a ruthless thug disgustingly urinated on her as she lay asleep on a busy Dublin street.
According to 98FM, the sick incident occurred in Dublin City Centre over the weekend.
The shocking incident which was revealed by Laois Ambassador for Feed Our Homeless, Tom Duffy, apparently occurred on Grafton Street on Sunday evening.
Speaking to 98FM, Mr Duffy who said he encountered a number of appalling incidents in recent days, said the woman was left shaken after the incident.
Mr Duffy told the station, that he was approached by the distraught woman, who told him that she had just been urinated on whilst she lay in a doorway.
It is alleged that man decided to urinate on the woman as part of sick joke.
The homeless campaigner who helps out regularly in the city, also told the station that the woman’s sleeping bag was ruined following the incident.
Mr Duffy said that the woman was forced to leave her sleeping bag where it was and he gave her a new one.
The alarming incident was just one of many as Mr Duffy also revealed that he met a pregnant woman looking for a sleeping bag because she was too afraid to go to a hostel.
He also told the station that he came across a man comforting his 74-year-old mother in order to keep her warm as she sat on the street.
The appalling incidents come as latest Government figures show that there are in the region of 10,000 people homeless across the country.
