The incident occurred outside Falcarragh where the young man had been working on a roof.
A man from Derryconnor, Gortahork, he was married with two young children.
Emergency services rushed the injured man, who was in his 30’s to Letterkenny University Hospital but he unfortunately passed away from his injuries.
He was reportedly married to a local school teacher and he was well known by locals in the area.
As not all of his family members have been notified of his death, he is to remain anonymous until all those close to the man have been notified.
The Health and Safety Authority are to launch a thorough investigation into his death.
