Shoppers in the capital and in the city by the Lee will today get into an early festive mood when the Christmas lighting is switched on.
The Original Rudeboys will be guests of honour in Dublin, and will flick the ‘On’ switch for the Grafton Street Xmas lights at 5pm.
Down south in Cork, the captains of the All-Ireland winning Cork Ladies Football and Cork camogie teams will do likewise at Patrick Street at 6pm.
