Former Tanaiste Joan Burton has come out hard demanding people vote yes to abortion

The former Tanaiste and leader of Labour, Joan Burton has come out hard demanding people yes to abortion tomorrow.

Burton, known best for her mercisless attempts to crush the water protests during her time as Tanaiste, has now returned to the fore demanding a yes vote in tomorrow’s referendum on the Eighth Amendment.

Ms Burton, who has been largely out of the limelight since she led the Labour party to an almost complete collapse in the last election, continues herself to be a TD for West Dublin where she has been out aggressively canvassing this week and demanding that her constituents vote yes in tomorrow’s abortion referendum.

Burton, who allegedly famously told people that if they had enough money for a smartphone then they had enough money to pay for water, remains a figure of hate for water protests.

A West Dublin local said: “Joan has been out forecfully demanding people vote yes with no answers when questioned on my doorstep. She just told me to vote yes and that was it.”

“I’m voting No anyway, but having been involved in the water protests and having been treated the way we were, if this wasn’t such a serious topic, I’d be doing the exact opposite to her demands no matter what is was”.
