Gardaí in Drogheda Co Louth have confirmed that four people have been arrested following the discovery of a gun at a premises in the town over the weekend.
It is understood three men all aged in their 20s and a woman aged in her 40s were arrested at the property in Oulster Lane.
Gardai say the arrests were made in the early hours of Sunday morning and all four individuals are being under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Drogheda and Dundalk Garda Stations.
