Gardai in Co Donegal have confirmed in the past hour that a man aged in his late 30s is due to appear in court over the coming weeks ahead after he was arrested late last night after he went on a rampage around the streets of Letterkenny with a hatchet.
According to local media reports the man was apprehended by the Gardai after he smashed up a car on Castle Street in the town at approximately 7pm on Wednesday night.
Thankfully no one was injured in the incident and the man was taken to Letterkenny Garda Station on a criminal damage charge.
