Gardaí in Co Waterford have confirmed that a 25 year old man has died following a stabbing incident earlier today.
It is understood the young man was involved in an altercation at a house in Dunmore East.
Gardaí say they were alerted to the incident at Shanakiel at approximately 3:40am this morning.
It is believed the young mam was transferred to the University Waterford Hospital where he sadly passed away a short time later.
Gardaí say they arrested a 17 year old man in connection with the incident.
