Gardai in Co Wicklow have issued an appeal for information regarding an aggravated burglary in Donard yesterday evening. It is believed that shortly before 7pm last night (Monday) a man in his 50s was horrifically assaulted as he entered his home at Studfiels South.
It is then believed that the attackers then placed the beaten man in a room whilst they ransacked his home.
The victim somehow managed to raise the alarm and he was quickly taken to Naas Hospital where it is said that he is in a stable condition.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have information about the incident to contact them at Baltinglass Garda Station.
