Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation after a hit-and-run accident in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí say the incident occurred on the Strand Road in Baldoyle at approximately 1am, when a 26-year-old man was knocked off his bicycle.
It is understood the driver of the car fled the scene and a man hunt is now underway. Meanwhile the cyclist was quickly taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
