Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation after a woman received a number of stab wounds during a robbery in Clondalkin on Friday night.
According Dublin Live newspaper, the investigation comes after the woman who is thought to be aged in her 30s, was attacked by a man who attempted to steal her handbag, near the Mill Park apartment complex on the Old Nangor Road in Clondalkin.
It is understood the man stabbed the woman numerous of times after a struggle broke out during the terrifying incident which occurred at approximately 10:30pm.
Gardaí say the woman who received minor injuries in the attack was treated at Tallaght Hospital.
They also say investigations are currently ongoing but as of yet no arrests have been made.
