Gardai have launched an investigation after a firearm and some ammunition were seized in Limerick on Monday.
Gardai stopped and searched a 25-year-old male at Colbert train station in Limerick. Officers found the weapon and ammo inside the man’s backpack.
He was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
