Gardai have launched a murder inquiry into the death of a man whose body was found in a Limerick flat on Sunday evening.
It is understood that the 40-year-old man, named locally as Martin Clancy, had been stabbed through the neck and died a short time later from blood loss.
Gardai are now appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward.
