Dubliner Brendan O’Carroll was performing a gig at the Rhyl Pavilion Theatre in Wales on Saturday where he made a huge donation.
Before he took to the stage, the Rhyl team, who are trying to raise €2.5million for a new lifeboat, sent a letter to the Mrs Brown’s Boys star to ask if there was anything they could do and visit their station.
61-yr-old O’Carroll said the cast were too busy to visit the station but he donated £10,000 (€11,600) from his own pocket to their fundraising.
The lifeboat charity are said to be delighted with the generous donation.
