The Government has confirmed this afternoon that they will not be introducing emergency legislation to deal with Irish Water.
It is believed that several TDs have been urged to stay in Dublin next week to vote on the controversial water plan. The news comes as amid speculation was growing that a new law could be on the way, as part of an complete overhaul of the controversial water charges system.
However the decision was
confirmed on Twitter, by the Government’s chief whip Paul Kehoe who said that they will only be debating a motion, and not any new laws.
