Police in the UK have sadly confirmed that six of the eight puppies stolen from a pregnant woman and her sons at a house in Greater Manchester have died.
The horrifying incident which has led to police manhunt occurred on Tuesday night when a pair of men entered the family home in Alpha Road in Stretford, Greater Manchester.
It is believed that the French Bulldog pups were stolen during the burglary which occurred on Tuesday night.
According to reports in the UK, the pregnant mother of three was threatened by the ruthless who demanded cash when they held what is believed to be a butchers knife to her stomach.
After handing over the cash the ruthless thugs then proceeded to rob a PlayStation console from an upstairs bedroom which belonged to her sons.
However not content with what they had the heartless thieves then took an incubator that housed the puppies before fleeing the scene.
Following the horrifying incident the distraught mother issued a heartfelt plea for the puppies safe return, however sadly it was confirmed on Friday that six of the pups had died.
Police investigating the say two of the pups have since been returned to their mother, but the family have grown concerned for their condition given the length of time they were away from their mother.
It is understood the thieves gained access to the house after the mother of three opened the front believing it was her partner returning home.
Officers investigating the case say they are currently searching for the men and have released CCTV footage to the public in this hope of catching the individuals involved.
They added although no was injured during the robbery, the woman and her three young sons have been left badly shaken and are deeply upset following the incident.
