In a truly horrifying story that has spread across the globe a man living in Indonesia has sadly lost his life in the most gruesome possible way after he was asphyxiated and eaten by a large python.
The story of the man’s horrific death which is something reminiscent of a scene from horror movie came to light after a video was uploaded to YouTube showing the man’s remains being removed from the python’s stomach.
According to state media the gruesome incident which occurred in the village of Salubiro, on the island of Sulawesi, a local villager named Akbar sadly lost his life whilst encountering the giant reptile believed to be 23ft when it suffocated him in the rainforest.
Local media also say the local villager’s unsightly death was only discovered a day later after a search crew who were retracing his last steps discovered the snake with an outline of shoes showing through its stomach.
A sight that intrigued the plucky villagers who later discovered it was indeed in fact the remain’s of a fully grown man after they bravely chased the snake down and killed it.
The curious locals however were shocked to discover it was indeed the remains of their fellow resident after they sliced open the pythons stomach and discovered Akbar inside.
Although it is fairly uncommon for pythons to eat human remains as a whole it has been heard of in the past a leading wildlife researcher told Indonesian media.
