The ESB have confirmed that at least 360,000 homes are without power and may be without power for some 5 to 10 days.
Ireland has many rural and isolated homes and wires are down right across the country. Possibly we’ll need help from the UK with crews already said to be unable to reconnect wires.
Winds of 155klm have been reported along the west side of the country. This is worst storm to hit Ireland since 1961 and has already claimed two lives.
