The Irish Navy vessel LÉ Samuel Beckett has departed from its homeport in Cork towards the Mediterranean, to take part in a mission to fight against human trafficking.
The mission’s objectives are to identify and capture any ship suspected to be involved in such practice.
LÉ Samuel Beckett will arrive to its assigned area of operations over the next few days.
