It has been well established that most if not all of us are against the current water charges, and many of us have vented our anger in numerous ways, but it now seems that number of people have gotten physical in their attempts to vent their anger as this protester was filmed disgracefully stepping on a Irish Water workers arm in attempt to stop him installing a meter near his premises.

The clip which has gone viral was posted online by FM104’s Adrian Kennedy and Jeremy Dixon’s Dublin Talks show recently and has caused a debate amongst the public as whether or not the mans actions were warranted or not. In the minute long clip the man who has not been identified is heard telling the Irish Water worker: “I told you not to put that in here. Get away from that.”

The man then proceeds to put his left foot on the worker’s arm in an effort to stop him completing his task and says: “I told you not to put that in there and you wouldn’t listen to me.” The man the continues to abuse the worker saying: “Get away from it. I’ll kick the arm off you if I have to. GMC scum.” “You are not putting that in there.”

The protester then deliberately stands over the hole to stop him from completing the job. However it is understood the protester was later removed and the meter was then installed.
