According to a recent poll conducted by MyHome.ie the ever popular kingdom of Co. Kerry has been voted the best place to take holiday within the island of Ireland. The county which is well known for its famous attractions along with its kind hospitality came top of the poll with a staggering 24.5 % of the Irish voters naming it their favourite destination for a short getaway.
The poll which had a total of 5,200 voters, had a pretty familiar looking top ten with many Irish holidaymakers voting the Heart of Irish Culture Galway, into second place with a healthy 17%, whilst the Rebel County Cork, was voted the third best place to visit with 14%.
Meanwhile County Wexford was the only other county on the list reach double digits, whilst counties Clare, Donegal, Mayo, Dublin, Wicklow, Kilkenny and Waterford completed the Top 10.
