Facebook have confirmed they are to hire an additional 3,000 people to their 4,500 strong workforce who already monitor Facebook Live videos in order to further prevent more and more people from uploading violent videos on the social media website.
Facebook say they are launching the new service in response to a tiny number of users abusing the system and committing murder live or suicide.
The news of the latest action plan was announced by the company’s CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg who said that Facebook is going to do everything it can to prevent such atrocities in the future.
