A very large group of pro-life activists, pro-life doctors and pro-life medical personnel held a rally outside the Dail last evening for doctors to have “real” conscientious objection.
Innumerable doctors have raised their concerns about the proposed abortion legislation and have vowed to have “no hand, act or part” in an abortion, including referrals.
Jeffrey Murphy told The Liberal:
“The referrals is the important part as pro-life doctors would still be participating in ending the life of an unborn baby rather that trying to do their job by preserving life. Referrals is very important”.
One thing is for sure, the abortion debate in Ireland is far from over.
