Summertime is a prime time for robberies and burglaries, due to the large number of people absent from their homes.
And Gardai in Co. Waterford are advising residents to lock up their valuables, specially their motorized gardening equipment, as a total of 6 ride-on lawnmowers have been stolen across Co. Waterford in the space of a few weeks. Gardai thwarted a seventh incident.
Anyone noticing any suspicious activity around vacant and empty properties is advised to contact Gardai immediately.
