Fianna Fail party leader Micheál Martin has seemingly got his election campaign off to rather early start, after he claimed that Fianna Fáil will offer the public a “real alternative” at next years election.

Mr Martin made his comments as he was speaking to his fellow party members at Ard Fheis last night, Mr Martin told his delegates that the oposition parties Fine Gael and Labour had campaigned against all of Fianna Fáil’s policies but then implemented them anyway. Mr Martin’s opening speech mainly focused on issues such as the current health crisis, the Fianna Fail leader heavily criticised the coalition for allowing the numbers on trolleys to increase.
Mr Martin strongly claims that his party will give voters a ‘real’ alternative to what he sees as broken promises.

Mr Martin told the conference: “They voted and campaigned against all of the key measures which stabalised the budget and in government it took them over three years before they produced even the most basic plan of their own,” “What we’re going to do is to set out a real alternative to the spin, to the broken promises, to the growing inequality and unfairness of Fine Gael and Labour”.
