One of the leading voices in the ‘#metoo’ movement, which seeks to expose and stop sexual abuse and harassment, Italian actress Asia Argento had arranged a $380,000 to a young actor who claimed that Argento sexually assaulted him when he was still under age, the New York Times reported.
Actor Jimmy Bennett, who once played Argento’s son in a film alleges that the 42-year-old actress sexually assaulted him when he was 17 in a California hotel. The age of consent in state is 18.
The actress settled her own sexual assault accusation around the same time she accused disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein of raping her, the UK Telegraph reports.
