According to flight data recovered from the wreckage of Coast Guard Rescue helicopter 116, the black box appears to show initial analysis that there was no mechanical anomalies, in other words no mechanical error on the helicopter.
It’s important to emphasize that these findings are only the initial reports from the black box and that as investigators delve into more detail they might find something different.
If they don’t, it would indicate that the tragedy was more than likely just human error due to bad weather or poor visibility. Either way, the event is one of a tragedy irrespective of what the black box may tell.
